Reopening Update

Our Leadership Team has prayerfully considered how to best reopen our buildings in the wisest and safest way possible. Therefore, we have decided to move into Phase 4 and reopen in-person gatherings on Thursday, July 9th and Sunday, July 12th.

Pastor Jason hosted a live update on Wednesday, June 17 to help provide clarity and give details about what to expect when we return in a few weeks!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the new gathering times?

Thursday Nights at Revolution Canton: 7:00p for adults (no RevKids programming)

Sunday Mornings at Revolution Canton AND Revolution Jasper: 9:30a and 11:30a (5th grade or older in the auditorium and family friendly environments in other areas of the building)

Will there be RevKids programing when we start in-person gatherings?

Until we know what the school systems are planning, RevKids will be different. We are offering a Family Friendly option where you will be able to attend a service in some of our RevKids spaces. It will include a hybrid service of RevKids music and then watching the message with your family.

Do I have to make a reservation to attend in-person gatherings?

All gatherings will be by reservation with a capacity cap. The capacity cap is due to a number of reasons, including adhering to certain distancing and capacity requirements from the state and the number of Team Members needed and available. Reservations will open on July 5th.

What if I am not ready to attend in-person?

We will stream Revolution Online at 8:00a, 9:30a, 11:30a, 4:30p, and 6:15p for those whom are not yet ready to attend in-person.

Are masks required?

Masks can be worn at your own discretion. Masks will be provided but not required on our campus, though they are strongly suggested in accordance with state guidelines.

Phased Reopening Plan

As our nation begins to scale back the social distancing guidelines, we want to keep you in the loop about our plans to reopen.

Given the size of our gatherings, our reopening strategy will probably look a little different from other churches and local businesses. We’re taking special care to be as cautious as possible about gathering in-person. With that in mind, we’re rolling out a phased reopening plan based upon the White House guidelines.

Our plan right now is to slowly and intentionally move through the phases.

  • Phase 1 started on May 1st and keeps groups at 10 or fewer people while we continue to practice strict social distancing.
  • Phase 2 will begin on May 15th as long as things continue to progress well in our community. The biggest change you will notice in Phase 2 is Community Groups can start meeting together again in-person.
  • Phase 3 will tentatively begin on May 29th as long as things continue to improve. We will NOT GATHER together for in-person services at our locations during this phase, but we will encourage people to start gathering for watch parties in their homes on Sundays. Phase 3 will also include our offices opening with our staff working a staggered in-office schedule.

As much as we'd love to rush straight to Phase 4, where we gather again at our locations, our staff will evaluate government guidelines and local health data on a weekly basis to ensure we reopen in a way that is safe for our church family. We don’t have a timeline for how long we will be in Phase 3, so stay tuned for updates and continue to gather with us weekly for Revolution Online.

As you know, the Governor of Georgia has begun to re-open parts of our state to allow people to get back to work. He also said churches can meet again if they can operate within the guidelines of social distancing, but he encouraged them to continue online if possible. In addition, there is still a shelter in place order until Thursday, April 30th for the state and a shelter in place order for the elderly until May 13th.

Because of this recommendation and these orders, we will continue to have church online and will NOT be meeting back in person yet. We do not feel it is wise for us to gather in person given the size of our gatherings. We will monitor the situation over the next several weeks and see how we can appropriately get back to meeting together again. The great news is that our church has continued to thrive during this season and has been truly blessed by God. THANK YOU for staying connected and involved in the life of the church.

We are so excited about the #WEBELIEVE campaign we launched last Sunday, and we have already started to see so many amazing We Believe statements from our church. We have really seen our church rise up and live life on mission.

Since we are remaining online, for now, make sure you are staying connected to the life of the church during this season. We have several ways to help you do that. We are:

  • Hosting a daily online devotional & prayer time at noon Monday - Friday on Facebook
  • Streaming 5 service times on Sundays: 8:15a, 9:45a, 11:15a, 4:30p & 6:15p
  • Providing all Revolution Online resources in one place on our website where you can quickly get all the information you need to connect with our Adults, Kids and Student ministries
  • Updating our social media feeds daily - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Offering text messaging alerts - text the word REVUPDATES to 1-888-682-7701
  • Implementing easy ways for you to give at Give.Revolution.Church or by texting any amount to 84321

Our offices will also remain closed at this time, and our amazing staff is continuing to work remotely. If you call the office during our normal business hours, our team is still answering phones and will respond.

We are in unprecedented times, and it has been a crazy couple of weeks. We are so grateful for the fact that we have a God that goes before us and sustains us daily within this crisis. We cannot imagine going through this season without the hope of God. He is working all things together for our good and will get us through this. Please know that we are praying for each and every one of you, and we are here to help and love you through this season.

As you know, the President extended the health guidelines until April 30th which includes the practice of social distancing and limiting social gatherings. We want to highly encourage you to follow these guidelines and to take this situation seriously. It is important that we as the church lead out in our communities as examples of integrity and wisdom.

With these new guidelines, WE WILL NOT HOST ANY ON-SITE SERVICES OR ACTIVITIES AT EITHER OF OUR LOCATIONS IN CANTON OR JASPER FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL.

As you can obviously see, that means we will not be gathering in person for Easter. However, we will continue to gather online, and we are planning some special things for Easter! The Easter service times are Sunday April 12th: 8:15a, 9:45a, 11:15a, 4:30p & 6:15p. We also have a special Good Friday devotion planned for Friday, April 11th at noon on Facebook.

Make sure you are staying connected to the life of the church during this season. We have several ways to help you do that. We are:

  • Hosting a daily online devotional & prayer time at noon Monday - Friday on Facebook

March 25, 2020

As we are all aware, the global spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, has become a central topic of discussion and concern for many of us. It is causing us to think about the things we take for granted and to rethink how we go about the practices of our daily lives. Our approach as the church is to take it one week at a time and for us to consider new ways of continuing long-standing practices and traditions.

As you know, we broadcast the last 2 Sundays online only. Due to the high demand on streaming providers, we experienced some technical difficulties during our 9:45a service. Our teams scrambled to make some quick changes that allowed us to get the stream back to your screens. This Sunday, we are creating some backup solutions to hopefully avoid any outages.

On Monday our Governor asked faith-based organizations to avoid gathering until after April 6th. In response to this request, we will NOT host any on-site services at either of our locations in Canton or Jasper for the next two Sundays (March 29th & April 5th). We are also canceling all activities that take place at our locations for the next two weeks, including Care Groups and RevStudents. Our offices will remain closed, and our amazing staff is continuing to work remotely. If you call the office during our normal business hours, our team is still answering phones and will respond.

What about Easter? We are going to gather as much information as we can before making a decision for our Easter services. Our plans are to be ready for either on-site services or online only. Once we know, we will communicate with you again as we learn more about changes in social distancing measures over the coming weeks.

Make sure you are staying connected to the life of the church during this season. We have several ways to help you do that. We are:

  • Providing a daily online devotional & prayer time at noon on Facebook
  • Offering 2 additional online service options on Sunday evenings at 4:30p & 6:15p
  • Building a new landing page on our website to quickly get all the information you need to connect with our Adults, Kids and Student ministries
  • Updating our social media feeds daily - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Offering text messaging alerts - text the word REVUPDATES to 1-888-682-7701
  • Implementing easy ways for you to give at Give.Revolution.Church or by texting any amount to 84321

Even though we aren’t meeting in person, we are still the church, and we are still on mission. In fact, we had 3 people trust Christ through our online services and the daily devotional & prayer time. God is so good! We are praying for each of you during this time, and our church stands ready to walk with you through this difficult season.

We are committed to the health and safety of our church family. We also believe that as followers of Jesus, we are to respond in the current situation of the COVID-19 virus in a Christ-like way. It is important to be informed, sensitive and wise in our preparations. It is equally important to remember that our trust is in God who offers hope regardless of circumstances.

Our leadership team at Revolution Church has decided to move our weekend services online. We will not host any on-site services at either of our locations in Canton and Jasper for the next two Sundays (March 15 & March 22). In addition, we have canceled all activities that take place at our locations for the next two weeks. This includes Care Groups and RevStudents.

We are also postponing our Jasper Campus Grand Opening until further notice.

This is not a decision we have made out of fear, but rather out of love and our desire to be a good community partner. Beginning Monday, schools in Cherokee and Pickens Counties are closing for two weeks. Therefore, we want to join them in order to help stop the spread of this virus.

We are excited to continue teaching through Romans this Sunday. We will be digging into Romans 13:1-7. While we won’t be gathering together physically in our locations, we are looking forward to gathering online.

Join us online at 9:45a, 11:15a, 4:30p & 6:15p this Sunday.

Please follow us on social media and visit our website for updates.
